TPMS Replacement

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System or TPMS is a safety device compulsory for all vehicles manufactured after 2014. This wireless device monitors tyre pressure and sends a warning signal in case the tyre pressure drops below 25% of the recommended limit.

A solid or blinking TPMS is telling you something - do not ignore it!

If your TPMS light comes out, it may indicate under-inflated tyres. Or, maybe, your car’s TPMS needs a replacement.

Experts at D.M.H Tyres Ltd can tell you the reason behind a blinking TPMS light and make sure that the sensor works optimally to alert you during a tyre pressure loss.

Causes Of TPMS Damage

TPMS sensors come with an average lifespan of around 5 to 10 years. However, due to certain reasons, they might suffer damage early on. Given their importance, if you notice any sign of damage to the sensor, you can visit us for a TPMS replacement Lloc.

That said, the primary causes of damage to the TPMS are:

Physical damage

Sensors operate in harsh environments of extreme vibrations and temperature. Such forces can heavily impact the transmission coils and lead to TPMS damage. As a result, this sensor will fail to provide real-time updates.

Corrosion

Most car manufacturers install these sensors on aluminium stem valves. So, the sensors become exposed to dirt and grease, eventually leading to oxidation. This can result in corrosion of the system, affecting its efficiency.

Dying batteries

Exhausted TPMS batteries will fail to deliver accurate results. Moreover, most sensors do not have removable batteries. So, I that case, we recommend a TPMS replacement.
