What is a TPMS Check?
Tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) are a relatively new innovation that automatically monitors the air pressure in your tyres. You receive a notification if the air pressure drops below 6-8 PSI – usually indicative of a flat tyre or puncture.
As of 1st January 2015, a faulty TPMS sensor is classified as an MOT failure. Any vehicle manufactured after this date must have a TPMS as standard.
A TPMS check involves inspecting each sensor for its functionality. If broken, a new sensor will need to be fitted.

Why Tyre Pressure Matters
Experiencing a flat tyre during a long journey can cause significant problems. Let alone the issues of increased wear, reduced grip, and greater fuel inefficiency.
A TPMS will detect any loss in air pressure, reducing the risk of blowouts or accidents. It’s also a crucial component alongside run-flat tyres, which continue to function after a puncture. That guarantees your safety and improves vehicle handling and stability.
